Investing Stock Market Gains into Community Endowment

When you make a gift of appreciated stock to the Ashland County Community Foundation, everyone wins. You receive an immediate tax deduction and the community's quality of life is enhanced through the building of endowment.

Giving appreciated stock through ACCF is suitable for a range of charitable givers: individual investors, families, even a group of friends who may have formed an investment club.

By giving stock through the Foundation, you can avoid capital gains taxes that would be due as a result of its sale, and establish a charitable named fund that benefits local Ashland County causes about which you care the most. You have the opportunity to receive the most rewarding return-on-investment of all…community impact.

This may be accomplished through the establishment of a scholarship, a donor-advised fund, a donor-designated fund or by way of a named fund through ACCF's Community Grants program.

ACCF's staff can handle all the administrative details. Your gift can become one that lasts into perpetuity, with annual distributions addressing vital community needs far into the future…for generations to come. Please contact us to learn more!

Community Grants Initiative

The Ashland County Community Foundation, through an initiative that was announced at its Annual Donor Appreciation Reception held in October 2012, is providing an exciting opportunity to create named funds in support of its Community Grants program.
